Walt Disney's Classic Cartoon Favorites is a series of DVDs by Walt Disney Home Entertainment. Each release would feature around one-hour of Disney animated short films, grouped by a starring character or a theme. As opposed to the chronological nature of the Walt Disney Treasures line, each release would feature various cartoons in no particular order. The series featured a total of four waves of releases, between January 11, 2005 and April 11, 2006. Another very similar line was Walt Disney's Funny Factory.
There are a few minor flaws on the presentations on a handful of cartoons on these DVD series. Examples:
Bee at the Beach in Starring Donald uses a TV edit instead of the original, which cuts out the title card and credits of the opening (except Donald's face in a sunburst and the title to the cartoon), the first 36 seconds of the cartoon, and the closing title.
For some odd reason, Food for Feudin in Starring Chip 'n' Dale starts up with the 1960's Buena Vista logo, despite the cartoon not being reissued as it has the RKO titles.
The 1941 Technicolor remake of Orphan's Benefit (1934) in Extreme Music Fun uses the original 1934 soundtrack with Donald's line "Aww nuts!" instead of it's correct 1941 color remake soundtrack with Donald's line "Aw, phooey!".
Wave Four of the series has some added sound effects on some cartoons (most notably Bath Day in Best Pals: Mickey and Minnie, and Donald's Double Trouble in Best Pals: Donald and Daisy).
One cartoon, How to Dance, appears twice in this series - Starring Goofy in Wave One and Extreme Music Fun in Wave Two.
Extreme Adventure Fun uses restored prints of the cartoons Mickey's Trailer and No Sail, while the Treasures DVDs on which they appeared (Mickey Mouse in Living Color and The Chronological Donald, Volume 2, respectively) used unrestored 90s TV prints.
In reverse, a large handful of cartoons presented in almost all of these DVDs, such as "Crazy Over Daisy", "Donald's Diary" and "Donald's Dilemma" on Best Pals: Donald and Daisy, use unrestored 90s TV prints, despite most of them being restored for the Walt Disney Treasures DVD lines around the same time these DVDs came out.
The Extreme Music Fun uses the original United Artists titles for Mickey's Grand Opera, but the Limited Gold Edition Mickey VHS uses the 1952 reissue with music from Symphony Hour before Mickey's Grand Opera starts.
On Extreme Music Fun has Woodland Café uses the 1937 original titles, restored, on Limited Gold Edition Silly Symphonies VHS uses the 1948 burlap reissue titles.
Contrary to their titles, Mickey is not in every short featured on the Best Pals: Mickey and Minnie and Best Pals: Mickey and Pluto DVDs.
The music featured in the DVD menu is "Broadway Bound" from Megatrax, which was also used on the Annie Special Anniversary Edition DVD from Columbia Pictures.

On the Starring Chip 'n' Dale DVD, the image of Chip and Dale wearing tuxedos was reused from the 1989 Walt Disney Cartoon Classics home video release of Nuts About Chip 'n' Dale.
On the Extreme Sports Fun DVD, the image of Goofy was reused from the 1992 Walt Disney Cartoon Classics home video release of The Goofy World of Sports.
On the Extreme Adventure Fun DVD, the image of Mickey, Donald and Goofy in the bathtub from Mickey's Fire Brigade was reused from the back of the 1992 Walt Disney Cartoon Classics home video release of Fun on the Job.
On the front of the Classic Holiday Stories DVD, the image of Mickey and friends caroling songs was reused for the cover of Disney's Sing-Along Songs: Very Merry Christmas Songs.
On the back of the Extreme Music Fun DVD cover, Mickey wears his band uniform from the Mickey Mouse Club intro. The back cover also features a screenshot from Symphony Hour, despite said short not being included on this DVD.
