The Disneyland Story is the very first episode of Disney's long-running anthology series, then entitled Disneyland, after the theme park on which the show was based and which was under construction at the time.
Plot[]
Walt Disney introduces viewers to his newest venture: a theme park called Disneyland. He also previews future episodes of the show, which parallel the park's themes. Then the show becomes a Fantasyland episode, as Walt delves into the history of his first success, Mickey Mouse, featuring several of his cartoon shorts, including Plane Crazy, The Pointer, Lonesome Ghosts, and the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" scene from Fantasia.
