Mrs. Beakley plays a large role in the television series DuckTales as the boys’ nanny, Webby Vanderquack's grandmother and the housekeeper of Scrooge's Mansion. She has also appeared in various DuckTales and Darkwing Duck comics, she also appears in the reboot series.

Being Webby’s gaurdian and the boys nanny Mrs. Beakley is very kind and motherly. She is also quit excitable and skittish about certain things.
In the reboot series she has a bit of a different personality. She remains a mother figure to children, but is much calmer. She also is able to hold her own in a fight, and has taught Webby some fighting skills.
